You've already learned how to use your digital camera, now learn how to do exciting things with your photos.  Learn how to edit your photos in a few different computer programs.  Reduce red-eye, increase the size, change the colors, add photo elements such as brushed edges or picture frames, and more!  We'll even show you how to create unique cards and gifts with your photos!

Basic Repair & Maintenance for Geeks

Learn how to perform basic computer maintenance for your computer that will help protect it and may prolong the life of hardware and software.  Learn how to clean your computer inside and out, as well as keeping it free and clear of spyware, adware, spam, pop-ups, and viruses.  Also learn some basic techniques to help troubleshoot the problems your computer may have.

Beginner Geek (Computers for Beginners)

This class is for the very novice adult computer user.  We will go through step by step every basic function of using a computer from turning it on to creating files, folders, and browsing the internet.  We will also explain all the "geek talk" associated with computers and the internet.  If you are interested in learning about what all those abbreviations and words mean, like:  CPU, RAM, MB, KB, GB, modem, download, upload, browse, etc - this class is for you!

Buy It On eBay

Been looking for a particular, hard-to-find item in all the local stores with no luck?  Want to purchase new items for a big discount?  Have a hobby and want to purchase supplies online?  Learn how to buy anything on eBay.  EBay is a wonderful resource for purchasing items.  Come and set up an account and learn how to find any item and how to make the most of your eBay buying experience.  Also learn from a buying expert how to find the most reputable buyers.

Create a Photo Storybook

Create a photo storybook for any occasion.  Using a special software program learn how to create a digital storybook using your very own digital photos and captions.  Create any theme - birthday, a year in review, anniversary, wedding, new baby, Christmas, high school days and more!  When you have completed the book then print it out and place your book pages inside a hard bound cover.  Create a photo collage glossy book jacket too.  This book is a treasure to keep!  Storybook kits will be available for purchase at the class. $30-50 per kit.  NOTE:  Kit purchase is not needed or required to create a similar photo book or to attend the class.

This class will be spent learning all the technical terms that are often associated with digital cameras and how to use your digital camera to capture photos.  Different styles, photo qualities, and jargon will be discussed.  We will also be taking photos with the cameras and downloading them onto the computer.

Digital Scrapbooking using Scrapbook Max!

Put away the mess and all the supplies associated with traditional scrapbooking and learn how to make the most of your scrapbooking time and make amazing scrapbook pages with your digital photos and this easy to use program.   Learn the basics of how to use the Scrapbook Max program and create page layouts.  Be ready to sign up for more classes to learn additional features of the program.   Scrapbook Max program purchase not necessary to attend the class, but will be available for purchase to take home after the class.

Email for Geeks
Interested in learning how to use email?  Learn how to compose, edit, send and receive email.  Set up a free Yahoo account and view other online email accounts to see how they are similar.  Also learn how to configure your Outlook or Outlook Express program for your email account.  Check out how online email accounts allow you to keep address books and calendars and more within them.  Also learn how to send an attachment.  We will be sending and receiving emails during this class - lots on hands on practice.

This class will show you how to create websites. Learn how to add pictures, tables, frames, and hyperlinks. You will also learn how to publish your website to the internet and learn to manage it. Topics covered include: adding new pages, designs, pictures, links, enter text, publishing your site to the internet, and changing information on the site.

This class is for beginner or basic users of the internet.  Want to know what "Googling" is?  This class is for the very novice adult internet.  We will go through step by step how to browse the internet by searching, entering web site addresses, determining valid websites, and more. 

Google for Geeks (Google Earth too!)

Check out all the neat FREE features this multi-billion dollar empire has created!  Learn how to search effectively and efficiently for items and topics using Google Search.  See how to find all sorts of images and clipart using Google Image.  Google Desktop brings you a world of information at a click of a button and keeps you informed of current news events, emails, tasks, to do lists and more.  Soar in 3-D above the earth to any location using the awesome new Google Earth.  Shop for anything online using Froogle.  Find the news you're looking for using Google News.  Locate Restaurants, tourist traps, driving directions and more using Google Local - you can also view a satellite photo of that location!  This is just a sample of all the things you can Google! 

Home Networking for Geeks

Even learn the basics of system preventative maintenance and keep your computer secure.

Intermediate Microsoft Excel
Building upon a basic knowledge, this class will teach users familiar with Excel Spreadsheets how to link information between worksheet pages, create charts, working with formulas, and sorting data.

Keeping Kids & Teens Safe on the Net
School’s almost out and your child/children will be using the family computer and browsing the internet to keep in touch with their friends.  Come and learn how to keep your child safe when on the internet. Find out about programs that allow you to monitor your child’s activity without them knowing it! Learn how some popular music and game download programs can be dangerous to your computer’s well being.

Take your photos and video clips and learn how to make them into a wonderful movie you can easily create using Windows Movie Maker (a program that comes FREE on Windows XP machines).  You can even create titles screens, credits, and unique transition effects or add effects to your photos or video clips.  Learn how to add music to these as well!  Make sure to bring some digital photos on your camera.

Learn to use Microsoft Word for more than just typing letters.  Did you know you can make calendars, charts, greeting cards, and other creative forms?  Did you know that there are hundreds of templates out there for free use?  Come and learn the basics and then learn more!

Outstanding Outlook
Learn how to use Microsoft Outlook to organize your personal or business affairs! This program can be used to keep track of your emails, address book of business and/or personal contacts, special occasions, keep track of tasks and to do lists, get rid of the clutter of Post-It notes and scraps of papers on your desk by using the notes feature, use the calendar to keep track of everyone’s activities and events and even color code them by the people in your family or by types of appointments.

PowerPoint Basics
This class is for new users of PowerPoint. We will show you how to create a basic slideshow, add slides, enter text and images, animate the show.

QuickBooks Basics
This class will show you everything you need to start using QuickBooks. Designed specifically for new QuickBooks users, you will learn all the essential functions of QuickBooks. Topics covered include: accounting information, invoicing, sales receipts, payments, deposits, paying bills, and reporting!
